Heavyball are a hard rocking ska/indie band based in Leeds and London, playing around the UK and Ireland.
Formed in London in late 2011 when brothers Matt and Habs Salisbury and best friend Johnny Iball, all originally from Nottingham, began to play together. The band are named after a joke on Johnny's surname which can no longer be remembered.
In Spring 2012 Heavyball's line up was completed with the addition of Paris born Remy Rosengarten on lead guitar and keys. Remy, who has previously recorded with The Stereophonics and Babyshambles, adds a driving rock sound to Heavyball's ska heart.
Heavyball's first EP, 'Small Town Hero' was recorded in Huddersfield by legendary producer Dave Creffield (Embrace, The Kaiser Chiefs).
